Toddler Snack: Yogurt Buttons
I have seen this idea floating around Pinterest many times before so I decided to make my own and show you how I did it! I have a 9 month old and she loves yogurt...but I thought this would be a perfect "non-messy" way for her to eat yogurt while helping her teething pain.
(Eating yogurt the "old fashion" way)
Supplies needed:
1. Parchment Paper
2. Scissors
3. Plastic bag
4. Yogurt (I used Trader Joe's Vanilla Greek Yogurt)
5. Baking sheet (optional)
Step 1:
Take your parchment paper and lay it either on the counter or baking sheet. I used a baking sheet and this helped give more stability when moving it to the freezer.
Step 2:
Take your yogurt and spoon some into a bag.
Step 3:
Cut a small hole in the corner of your bag - this will act as an "icer" would to make dollops of yogurt as the yogurt buttons.
Step 4:
Keep making little buttons and cover your parchment paper. I made lines of 10 x 10 equaling 100 buttons.
Step 5:
Put the yogurt buttons in the freezer for 45min-1 hour or longer. They get hard surprisingly fast, if you want to eat them immediately 30-40 min might do the trick. I wanted to store mine so I left them in the freezer for about 1 hour - 1 1/2 hours.
Step 6 (optional):
I put them in little baggies for easy grab and go snack. Lastly - Enjoy!
